Our strong financial position has enabled us to deliver an extensive capital works program and quality services, whilst keeping our rates among the lowest in metropolitan Sydney – including free rates for pensioners.

We have delivered budget surpluses every year since I was elected in 2004, all of which have received unqualified audits.

Our focus on design excellence has ensured we have better design in private development, and our own award-winning public projects, parks and walkable streets.

We’ve planned Sydney’s future skyline with the most comprehensive review of CBD planning controls in over 40 years. It will allow increased height on certain sites in the city centre, while ensuring they’re well-designed, environmentally sustainable and don’t overshadow any of our important public spaces.
