Councillor Adam Worling

Councillor Adam Worling

Adam Worling has been a resident of the City of Sydney for 35 years. Residing in Potts Point, Kings Cross, Redfern and Surry Hills, Adam trained as an apprentice chef before moving into retail and public relations.

Over the last 20 years under his namesake PR agency, Adam has shaped the presence of brands such as David Jones, Carla Zampatti, Ginger & Smart and the Melbourne Fashion Festival. Adam’s great passion is sustainability, to foster change towards greater ecological integrity which led to him working with not-for-profit charity Thread Together, an organisation that redistributes excess new clothing to people in need.

Adam Worling is a financial supporter of the arts, in particular, Sydney Dance Company and Sydney Film Festival. As a supporter of Marriage Equality, in 2017 Adam rallied over 500 allies from the fashion industry to create a rainbow flashmob at Hyde Park. During elections for Clover Moore and Alex Greenwich, Adam co-manages the door knocking campaigns and sees this as a wonderful opportunity to view this great diverse city and meet the community face-to-face.

Aside from the arts, Adam thoroughly enjoys cooking and entertaining in his home in Surry Hills with his partner Alex and their beloved dog, Bella.
