  • Ebsworth Street in Green Square completed – which is the first inner city high street built in over a century.
  • Park renewal at St James Reserve (Glebe), Reconciliation Park (Redfern), Chelsea Street Playground (Redfern), O’Brien’s Lane Reserve Park (East Sydney) and Quarry Green (Ultimo) and new children’s bike track and learner facilities installed at Sydney Park.
  • As at March 2015, 95 childcare centres were offering 5,055 childcare places. Development applications approved or under assessment could add an extra 2,588 places.
  • Art Money, to provide interest-free loans to buy art works, launched with City seed funding. This was to help artists and creatives.
  • Yininmadyemi–Thou didst let fall, the first major public artwork commemorating the coloured diggers, commissioned by the City and launched at public ceremony in Hyde Park.
  • $11.3 million Sydney Park renewal launched, with Sydney’s largest stormwater harvesting system, creating wetland habitats, and water cascades. Also provided paths, lighting, picnic areas and viewing platforms.
