  • Separated bike paths completed on Union Street, Pyrmont, Kent Street and College Street in the City; and Bourke Road, Alexandria.
  • First on-street electric vehicle charging station in Glebe and our first electric fleet vehicles able to be charged at Town Hall, where solar panels the provided 20% of the building’s electricity. [Since 2020, 100% of the city’s power needs come from renewables].
  • Renewal of pocket parks and playgrounds in Chippendale, Darlington, Millers Point, Paddington, Wentworth Park (Glebe), Ward Park (Surry Hills), Reschs Park (Redfern), Victoria Park (Camperdown) and Ethel Turner Park (Paddington).
  • Led a strong and successful community campaign to protect Moore Park from a blatant land grab by the SCG.
  • Community Gardens Policy adopted to provide guidance and financial support for residents wanting to establish locally based gardening co-operatives.
  • City Plan – the City’s comprehensive draft Local Environmental Plan and Development Control Plan; which included amalgamated council areas by the state in 2004 - endorsed by Council and approved by the Minister for public exhibition.
  • Retail Advisory Panel established as well as the expansion of programs to support small business.
