  • Sustainable Sydney 2030, our action plan to reduce carbon emissions and urgently address climate change, adopted by Council.
  • 319 Local Action Plan priority projects completed and 500 more underway.
  • 1.8-hectare Pirrama Park, designed by Hill Thalis, Aspect Studios and CAB, officially opened in March on Pyrmont’s former Water Police site purchased by the City in 2004.
  • Completed important park upgrades include historic Redfern Park with children’s play area, artworks and oval, Turruwul Park (Rosebery), all-abilities playground at Sydney Park, and Beare Park, Elizabeth Bay.
  • More equitable access to open space, with 30 new full-time off-leash parks approved, and the development of a comprehensive campaign for responsible pet ownership.
