For our communities

We have delivered world-class pools and community facilities, investing over $1.3 billion in public infrastructure since 2004 and we have another $1.7 billion allocated in our long-term financial plan.

For our communities

We’ve built two new libraries in Surry Hills and Green Square and have leased two floors for library space in The Exchange building in Darling Square.

We have upgraded seven arts and performance spaces including The Hayes Theatre, Capitol Theatre and City Recital Hall, and we have transformed the Baptist Tabernacle into “Eternity Playhouse”.

We purchased Customs House from the Federal Government, which houses our main City library, and have upgraded all our Town Halls, including a major restoration of Sydney Town Hall

We built the award-winning Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre in Ultimo, Prince Alfred Park Pool in Surry Hills, and most recently, Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre in Green Square. We also completed comprehensive upgrades of Andrew Boy Charlton and Cook and Phillip Park Pools.
